Q&A: How Does the Change to Wilflex Affect You?
Q: How does your new product compare in price?
A: Whites and Black – Same great price! That’s right, our pricing is staying the same on the top three inks used in a screen printing shop.
Lava Low Bleed White (Previously Ryonet White) $79.99/gallon
Lava Meteor White (Previously Green Galaxy Meteor White) $59.99/gallon
Lava Black (Previously Ryonet Black and Green Galaxy Black Matter) $44.99/gallon
The Wilflex Lava Whites and Black will be available in all of Ryonet’s warehouses.
Wilflex Epic Lava Colors (formerly RyOpaque)
Colors are seeing an average increase of 10.52%.
Across the board prices on colors are going up slightly, but before you call in the marines let’s take a look at what’s happening behind these higher costs:
1. Many of our colors and sizes for the colors are not changing.
2. The new Lava formulations match with 100% accuracy the previous RyOpaque colors, but they perform the same way the Lava Black and White inks performed against our previous product. What does this mean for you? Check out the results you will now be able to achieve with these new Wilflex inks:
3. Sheer. The new Lava inks sheer far better from the mesh. This means you can use higher mesh screens and pass the screen fewer times. The difference between using a 110 and a 156 mesh screen is ~33% ink savings and the difference between passing an ink once vs passing it twice is ~50% savings! This doesn’t even factor the labor savings which is your most expensive cost to make a garment, far exceeding the value of ink that goes on the shirt. Less ink used and less passes made = less work for you and more product saved.
4. Fiber Matte Down. An ink that mattes the fibers of the shirt down also results in fewer passes, which saves money on product and money in production costs.
If you couple the performance characteristics with the superior hand and feel of the final printed product we are extremely confident that the average 10.52% price increase will be a positive transition.

Q: Can I still buy International Coatings through Ryonet?
A: Yes! While we are reducing how much product we stock, you will still be able to order all of the International Coatings brands of inks from the Ryonet Marketplace. Also, if we don’t have them in stock we will send them direct from International Coating’s facilities in Georgia and Southern California.
Q: Can I still buy RyOpaque Inks?
A: While supplies last! After our supply of RyOpaque is exhausted, the Lava line will completely take over the RyOpaque line. The Lava line matches the RyOpaque colors exactly so switching your shop and customers over will be a breeze. PLUS your customers will like the hand and feel of the new line much more, as it is noticeably softer on the garment.
Q: Can I still buy the previous versions of Ryonet White, Ryonet Black, and Meteor White?
A: Ryonet White is very close to the same formula as IC Legacy White which you will still be able to purchase through us. Ryonet Black is very close to the same formula as IC Baja Black which will still be available through us. Meteor White, however, is only available in its new form, which is a part of the Lava Line and Manufactured by Wilflex. That said, the new Meteor White is a perfect color match and is much friendlier to work with and an even better final result.
