Easy to make the switch and gloves off
For waterbed and discharge we used the RFU inks but finally got this and love it. Now that I know you can pull up and match the existing RFU Green Galaxy inks and even mix them together it has been seamless transitioning. Low on nebulous navy? Mix some! My only holdback is that I am still not 100% sure about additives with this system but seems like it would be the same. Plus, being able to pantone match for customers has more than paid for the switch. If you are on the fence, do it. We did and love it.

United StatesOkay for WB terrible for discharge
The ink is good enough but the mixing formulas are not good. Most of them have way too much white (was told this by customer service years ago), so you constantly have to guess at how much white to use. Using discharge base the colors are WAY off. Customer service just told me the activator eats up the pigment. I asked for a solution and they told me there was none. So they know the formulas are wrong, won’t adjust them, and won’t tell you they are wrong. Wasted at least a gallon of base by this point on wrong formulas.

I love the versatility of the fusion system. I'm a hobbyist and only print very small runs so I mix just 250g at a time. The pigments are very concentrated and a few drops can make a noticeable change so a scale that measures to 0.01g is important. I'm saving money because I'm no longer mixing and discarding cups of muddy grey/brown goo as was common when I tried to mix conventional inks by eye. I have noticed slight color shifts when printing over Comet White and setting with a heat press if the ink is not VERY dry. This does not happen when printing on white fabric so the problem is not with the pigments themselves. Thanks to customer support for the advice.
