Vintage Black Screen ALGAE INK™ from Living Ink Technologies is a water-based, bio-derived ink made with ALGAE BLACK™, a carbon-negative pigment created from algae waste. This antique black ink delivers a rich, natural tone and a soft hand feel with exceptional opacity. Designed for smooth printability and versatile textile use, Vintage Black ALGAE INK makes eco-friendly screen printing easy, consistent, and beautiful.

FEATURES

  • High opacity and viscosity for crisp, detailed prints
  • Compatible with a wide range of fabrics including cotton and cotton blends
  • Engineered for use across standard screen printing setups

TECH SPECS
  • Mesh: 110–320 T/inch (43–120 T/cm)
  • Recommended squeegee: 60–90–60 durometer, 10–15° angle
  • Optional Additives: 2–3% Fixator NFO for enhanced performance (pot life ~6 hrs)
CURING INSTRUCTIONS
  • Cure at 330°F (165°C) for a minimum of 90 seconds (measure temperature at ink surface)
  • Allow printed garments to dwell in the oven for 120–180 seconds to reach full cure temperature
  • Air dry is NOT recommended to achieve complete cure
  • Test all prints for wash and color fastness before production
CLEAN UP
  • Clean immediately after printing with water, mild detergent, or a general water-based screen cleaner
  • Avoid letting ink dry in the mesh to extend screen life and maintain print quality
STORAGE INFORMATION
  • Shelf life: 1 year from receipt in unopened original packaging
  • Storage temperature: 41°F–89°F (5°C–32°C)
  • Keep in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources or direct sunlight
  • Do not freeze
