Ready to start using your new Riley Flash? First, you’ll need to assemble it. These step-by-step instructions walk you through assembling and setting up the Riley Flash Dryer 16"x16" and Riley Flash Dryer 18"x18", so you can get flashing and keep production moving.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
- (x1) 7/16" wrench
- (x1) 9/16" wrench
WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
- Main flash panel assembly (x1)
- Zinc attachment brackets, RH & LH (x2)
- Lower stand legs (x4)
- Hardware kit (x1)
- Upper stand upright pole (x1)
- Lower stand upright pole (x1)
STEP 1
Attach the legs to the lower stand upright pole (four holes). Use the upper set of holes to attach two opposite legs as shown. Attach the other two legs using the lower set of mounting holes. Tighten with a 9/16" wrench.
STEP 2
Attach the locking casters to all four mounting holes on the stand. Tighten with a 9/16" wrench. The lower stand is now complete.
STEP 3
Install the left and right mounting brackets onto the main flash panel assembly. Use a 7/16" wrench, but do not fully tighten yet.
STEP 4
Install the hand lever on your preferred side of the mounting channel. Choose the side that best matches where the flash will sit on your press, and whether you are right- or left-handed. Use a 7/16" wrench and fully tighten the knob.
STEP 5
Attach the upper stand upright pole to the flash dryer mounting brackets. Tighten with a 9/16" wrench. Use the upper bracket holes to adjust the flash angle if needed. After this step, fully tighten the 7/16" hardware from Step 3.
STEP 6
Install the locking collar and fluted knob onto the upper stand pole. This sets overall flash height. You can fine-tune height at press to dial in your distance from the platen.
STEP 7
Safety note: Unplug the flash dryer when not in use. Do not leave the unit unattended while under power.
Slide the upper flash assembly into the lower stand assembly. Make final adjustments to height, then adjust tilt angle as needed so the flash panel sits where you want it over the platen. Plug the unit into a standard 110v 15 amp outlet to begin use.
