Deep beneath the bottom of the Slipstream Sliver, Agau's oldest river, we found something exciting and new. A material as durable as the stars and silkier than the water that ran above it. This Slipstream Silicon is the secret to both strength and softness.
Green Galaxy™ Slipstream Silicone Additive can be mixed with any Green Galaxy HSA Water Based Ink at a max 5% to create a softer hand, silkier feel, and improve rub-fastness (dry crocking) from abrasion damage or transfer, and increased durability.
Recommendations For Use
Use to create a softer hand, even softer than water based. Improves wet on wet density - too much buildup on screen. Eliminates stickiness from ink, and can give you the ability to remove flashes from your print order for more wet on wet or lower flashes.
Can be used in combination with Green Galaxy HSA Water Base through any mesh between 90-305.
Stencil & Emulsion Guidelines
We recommend using either a water resistant emulsion like Green Galaxy CryoCoatand with mesh degreased with Green Galaxy CryoPrep degreaser. For extended life and long runs it is recommend to post expose the screens or use an emulsion hardener like Ryonet¨ Harden-X.
Be sure to stir product prior to use. Recommended at max 5%, but you may exceed if you are able to insure a proper cure.
Do not print this on its own. This is only an additive.
For flashing, forced air flash is optimal. Flash until dry to the touch. This product can help remove flashes.
Slows down cure, might need slight adjustment to temp or belt speed. But hardly a difference.
Testing & Precautions
For cure testing: After set period, perform a stretch test to ensure elasticity. It is always recommended to perform a wash test to ensure proper cure prior to going into production. You may also run abrasion testing to watch for flaking and test adhesion. Increase cure dwell time if testing fails.
Ink should be removed from screen as soon as printing is completed. General wash-up (on ink that has not dried) can be done with water, though using Sgreenª Aqua Wash is much easier and recommended. For aggressive or dried screens, use Sgreenª Aqua Wash to dissolve ink and blast out areas of stuck ink with water pressure.
Keep container(s) tightly closed. Store in cool, well-ventilated location that is locked.
