For prints that are soft to the touch, try Ryonet White Discharge as either a white under-base or a brilliant white print on natural fiber garments. Ryonet White Discharge lasts longer in production, penetrates the garment better, prints through higher mesh, feels better after production, and creates an overall more consistent print than most discharge inks on the market. Once you open the container your can immediately tell the unique formula of Ryonet's Discharge gives a creamier, brighter body than any other discharge you may have used in the past.
NOTE: Ryonet Discharge must be activated by Discharge Agent before printing
Ryonet Discharge must be activated by Discharge Agent, a specially formulated activating powder that must be mixed into discharge ink 4-6%. You should only activate as much discharge as you will need to print at a given time as it does have a life span of about 6-8 hours once mixed. Discharge Agent is a powder and can be ordered by the pound. Discharge ink can be used with most 100% cotton shirts (does not work on poly or poly blend fabrics).Screens must be coated with a water based or hybrid emulsion. Post-hardening the stencil is recommended for long print runs. If using with a pigment system, mix in pigment at the desired shade or level. 1-10% is normal for standard pigments and up to 20% for fluorescent pigments.
Print wet-on-wet without flash curing. Degree of color/wash fastness is dependent on proper curing. Add Water Base and Discharge Reducer/Retarder up to 5% to prevent drying in the screen.
110 to 305t/in The mesh count being used will determine how much squeegee pressure should be used.
60-80 Durometer. Can also use 70/90/70 triple durometer squeegees. Typically heavy squeegee pressure is preferred.
Use WBP or any standard water based emulsion.
The printed fabric should be cured for a minimum of 90 seconds at 320 degrees F. Ideally, the printed fabric should be cured for 2-3 minutes at 340-350 degrees F.
General wash-up, on ink that has not dried up, can be done with water. EnviroSolv is recommended as an on-press cleaner and screen opener.
