We are taking today, May 27th 2019 to remember those who have given the greatest sacrifice of all, their lives for our freedom. The screen printing community directly interacts with military families, veterans organizations, and active duty members of our armed forces each and every day. Memorial Day is a great day to reflect on the sacrifices of a few for the many.
As a company we didn't like the idea of trying to promote our products on a day meant for acknowledgement and remembrance. Rather than running a typical retail promotion to kick off summer, we decided instead to focus on the day for what it deserves recognition for. At the same time, how can we as a business possibly support those we have lost to war?
We can support those great charitable foundations making commemorative gestures, but we desired this time to memorialize in a more intimate and impactful way. While remembering those lost to war, it's also important to remember their families. That's when we came across The Fallen Patriots, and we're humbled to learn about their mission - to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
As an organization we are passionate about education, and it was important for us to align with an organization that shared a similar mission, one we could proudly stand behind.
